And did they succeed?
Fans of the pair have plenty to be happy about as they watch the two actors lose themselves in nostalgia, share previously unreleased wedding photos, and give us a peek into the little details of their daily lives. Their otherwise seemingly perfect marriage was tainted by an intrigue that was caused by something that neither of them realized.
Ranveer, for example, went to considerable lengths to discuss the couple’s history, including how they first fell in love, how he proposed to her, and how he informed his family. As though she were hearing it for the first time, Deepika just grinned and made small flirtations in between. Deepika appeared to be learning the narrative as she shared it with us, but Ranveer had a more clear account to provide.
Nevertheless, Deepika took over the debate once they posted the wedding video. That’s when the talk went past the initial stages of love. They discussed sensitive topics, such as how each of them had a totally distinct background, way of life, and tastes. “It’s the work that makes it unique,” they say, acknowledging that it is difficult but determined to strive toward a happy marriage. With a gesture more akin to devotion than acceptance, Ranveer accepted it.
Deepika and Ranveer each utilized their advantages. She concentrated on romance when love had just recently begun to develop because she was utterly from the heart. She established the couple’s current and future outlook for us because she is significantly more diplomatic and flawlessly clever.
Wedding video: a brilliant idea
It’s obvious that seeing their wedding footage for the first time on the program aided in the cause. The five-year wait for the release of DeepVeer’s Wedding Movie deserves praise for truly keeping things intimate at a time when newlywed actors are collaborating with record labels and bridalwear designers (like Kiara Advani and Parineeti Chopra) to release their personalized wedding videos or selling them to streaming platforms (like Nayanthara and Hansika Motwani).
The audience was more thrilled by Karan Johar’s impromptu response than they were by the wedding video. The most natural aspect of the program seemed to be her explanation of how he feels unfulfilled in their relationship, followed by him crying and the couple giving each other a strong hug. Making the therapist cry, if it were pair therapy, says more about the therapist’s emotional emptiness and sensitivity than it does about the couple’s marriage.
